The Birmingham (AL) Multicultural Association is an all volunteer driven non-profit. Our mission is to promote cross cultural understanding, encourage a more multicultural community and celebrate the variety of world cultures through education and interaction.
Because we have no paid staff we have no formal office space– just a small desk and computer located in the backroom of Sojourns Fair Trade Store. We instead have many active committees who gather at area restaurants and coffee houses or in homes of volunteers to meet, discuss and plan our work.
We are directed by a small Board of Directors and an ever growing Advisory Council comprised of individuals from area businesses, cultural associations and non-profits whose emphasis is on cultural understanding.
To get involved you only have to send us an email at bhamintlstreetfair@gmail.com or call Current Board Chair Melissa Kendrick at 205.994.4902
